Brian emailed me as a referral from the Whitney in downtown Detroit, he informed me that he was ready to propose to the girl he had been dating for the past 8 months, the Whitney is where they had their first date, and was looking for a photographer to capture this important moment in his life. I told Brian that I'd be honored to help him capture her reaction and the event he had been planning.

I told him I don't do video but I'd love to add it to your package and capture those moments in action because I think it would bring the extra spice that would otherwise be missing. The video came out stellar and I instantly knew I had to offer this to all my future couples!

Mira & Jeff | Cranbrook Gardens Engagement Session

I got an email from Mira & Jeff this year at the end of April, looking for a last-minute wedding photographer to capture their “I do’s” this August. To my surprise, I was available and ecstatic to work with these two. From their initial email stating how they’ve known each other since high school, but it wasn’t until their early twenties that the stars aligned and they connected. To chatting with them about their love for each other and their wedding day plans. I knew that this was going to be a magical wedding to document.

Halley & Andrew

Haley and Andrew's Michigan, Game of Thrones wedding took place at one of their friend's properties where Andrew and his team practice Buhurt (a high-intensity sport) where you dress in full armor to fight with swords, axes, and spears. The wedding resembled the “Renaissance Festival” but really felt as if I was back in time during the medieval period. H & A Really gave it their all and kept attention to detail when putting together their dream wedding. Majority of the guests came dressed in full character, and it was just so cool to be around the energy and costumes! 

I met Haley when she booked me for a Boudoir session with me. She brought a mace a sword and an armored helmet and I just had to know when her wedding date was… Because I knew this wedding was going to be so cool and it was totally beyond expectations! I am enthralled that I was able to capture their fairytale story! 

Jarrett was absolutely wonderful! Having a Covid wedding, everything was scattered or things were ready to change last minute, and Jarrett was there 100% of the time, and very flexible. He made my wedding feel like an absolute fairytale. He went above and beyond, from moving furniture, to buying a pair of rain boots so he could get through the muddy mess of our ceremony grounds. His dedication and talent exceeded my expectations. I only have sneak peeks right now, but they make me SO excited to get the rest of them!! If you need a wedding or boudoir photographer, stop looking and book him!

Kennyle & Andre

Kennyle and Andre's wedding took place at the Waterview Loft Port Detroit, located in Detroit, Michigan. K & A met at Detroit vegan soul. In Andre's words, he was having lunch one day at Vegan Soul (a local vegan restaurant.) and was seated next to a beautiful woman. (From what I understand this was his first time eating at the restaurant.) He proceeded to ask her for a suggestion on what to eat. When she suggested something he was allergic to he still ordered it. He wanted to Impress her by trying what she loved at the restaurant.

Kennyle and Andre's theme was Elegance. From the Rolls-Royce; to the red bottom shoes, and the Cartier wedding bands… This wedding was to the nines! We took a pit stop at the Detroit Institute of Arts to take some photos and of course, we had to make a pit stop at Vegan Soul for some romantic wedding portraits. (The place where K&A met.) The Reception was full of energy and they even had some excellent African drummers and dancers.

Sarah & Joshua

I've known Sarah and Josh for a while now. I first met Josh when I photographed Josh's brother's wedding. So I was super excited to hear that S&J got engaged and wanted to have me capture the story of their wedding day, as their photographer. Since I've known their families for many years. The photo shoot just felt like I was hanging out with some old friends, and capturing memories for them.

Sarah and Josh’s Reception took place at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan and their ceremony took place at a cute little church in downtown Plymouth Michigan.

The best part about Sarah and Josh's wedding was their energy… Not just their energy in general, but their energy towards each other. You can see how they felt about each other, and those are honestly my favorite kind of weddings… The ones where you can just visually see and feel that the couple is madly in love. They just couldn't stop cheesing at each other! 

I honestly can't wait for the next person in this family to get married so I can see everybody again!

Julie & Ankur

What can I say… Julie & Ankur’s love story was one story I was particularly excited to capture. I mean, Ankur’s very first email to me was back in 2019!!! Covid of course derailed their wedding multiple times. That wasn’t enough to stop these two from moving their wedding date multiple times, in hopes to be married soon. They didn’t even let the pandemic stop them from turning the page k to start the next chapter. J&A decided to tie the knot with a small group of friends before their Detroit wedding.

So the end of 2022 rolls around and I’ve known these two for nearly 4 years now and the wedding is FINALLY happening, it’s at this moment I realize I am photographing a long-time friend’s wedding. This was my last wedding in 2022, and it was truly a gift for me to see their love blossom. Then it dawned on me… Seeing their story move forward even though A&J faced so many setbacks and weathered through the turmoil, these two would be able to face anything in the world together, hand in hand…

The luxurious setting of the yacht combined with the intimate energy of their friends and family made for unforgettable images — capturing both grandeur and the subtle, heartfelt moments in between.
